The Antenna is compliant to the ATEX-Directive 94/9/EC and certificated for Zone 1, an area in which an explosive mixture is likely to occur in normal operation. The ATEX-Directive is an EU directive describing what equipment and work environment is allowed in an area with an explosive atmosphere.
